Melbourne based duo Annie & Bern have just released their debut album Here Comes The Love and to celebrate they are excitedly hitting the road to bring their upbeat, romantic vintage-pop to a town near you.

This duo have an unbeatable synchronicity having played together for over twelve years in various other guises, a clear affection for the sounds of yesteryear and timeless charm which is truly enchanting. Relatively new to the scene, they deliver a vintage sound in vintage attire and are heavily influenced by the greats of the British 60s scene of Lulu, Sandie Shaw, The Beatles, Gerry & The Pacemakers, and The Kinks, however they deliver it with their own special modern bent : sometimes dreamy, sometimes raw, but always honestly and with integrity.

Live they omit a rich tapestry of beautiful balladry, with mesmerizing guitar as the anchor. It is delivered in as stripped back and bare a fashion as possible. There is no need for bells and whistles when the music is this good – Annie’s exquisitely smooth voice and Bern’s accomplished finger-picked acoustic guitar playing ARE the bells and whistles!

Whilst punctuated by cheeky vintage wit and sweetness, their thirteen track debut album also showcases tender and haunting ballads, which explore the complex and sometimes contradictory nature of relationships, revealing the beauty of how fragile and enduring love can be.

Annie & Bern are now venturing to Hobart, Byron Bay, the Gold Coast, Melbourne and Central Victoria, hoping to win over new hearts and ears.
