Joined by local up and comers High Tails and high-powered two piece From Oslo, Wolf & Cub are set to storm the Bookclub band room stage – upstairs at The Rochester Castle – on Saturday March 22nd.

After impressing both audiences and critics with their lively onstage performances, Wolf & Cub went on to release their debut EP Wolf & Cub. The release of their 2005 single Thousand Cuts garnered the band international attention. Their debut LP Vessels, released in 2006, was the band’s first release with independent megastars 4AD and on the back of the success of their sophomore album, Science And Sorcery, the band released their third and latest album Heavy Weight in late 2013. Wolf & Cub’s new single ‘Salao’ is an impressive psych fuzz jam out that stride’s over a too-cool-for-school bassline and a Primal Scream-esque chorus.

High Tails’ swinging brand of indie pop goodness has seen the band rise through the ranks on Triple J’s Unearthed radio with their latest single ‘Maps’ being labelled as “the song of the summer” by Dave Ruby Howe.

From Oslo’s conception can be traced back to a formidable Cloud Nothings set at the 2013 edition of Laneway Festival that left the two piece wondering why the hell they weren’t making music themselves. Since then From Oslo have been steadily pounding the pavement of Melbourne’s live music scene and have begun to stir a solid following with their garage-riddled indie tunes
