More Light is the tenth studio album by Scottish band Primal Scream released in May this year!
More Light certainly restores Primal Scream’s reputation as one of the UK’s most creative and ambitious rock bands.
The album is eclectic combining soul-infused rock, psychedelic jazz instrumentals, krautrock-inspired beats and escalating string sections to create a riot of genres sporting on with anarchic undertones.
The single ‘It’s Alright, It’s OK’ is a gospel-infused strum-fest that’s ridiculously uplifting and layered with existential vocal harmonies, floating organs and a Stones-esque guitar solo, with Bobby Gillespie’s reassuring vocals and the delivery of some good new material from Primal Scream, will have you seriously believing that it is in fact alright, and more than only OK.
