The Woodstock 50 saga continues. The festival was originally slated to take place from August 16-18 at Watkins Glen International in New York; but the festival lost the venue after organizers failed to pay $150,000.

Now it looks as if the festival has lost it’s second proposed site. Organises had planned to move the festival to Vernon Downs, a smaller New York race track and casino. As Variety reports, organisers failed to meet the requirements needed to secure the site, and their permit has been denied.

They now have five days to appeal the decision “What they have submitted to date has not met many of the requirements” Oneida County Administrator, Anthony Picente Jr. told Variety.

Picente added that it is “highly unlikely” that the festival will go ahead.

Following news that Watkins Glen International had terminated Woodstock 50’s site license, festival producer CID Entertainment pulled out from the festival.

The festival is set to take place in just five weeks, it is yet to find a venue and tickets have not yet gone on sale. Check out the proposed lineup for the festival below.
