Wu-Tang Clan has unveiled A Better Tomorrow Collection — a line of products set to benefit the Ottawa Food Bank, Ottawa Mission Foundation, and Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The collection features a vegan, citrus-scented hand sanitizer created in collaboration with skincare company JUSU. For every bottle of sanitizer sold, another will be donated to a Canadian homeless shelter.
A meal from Pure Kitchen called the “Saga Continues Bowl,” that will donate all profits to feeding the front-line healthcare workers at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. Finally, you can cop a gorgeous shirt featuring the classic Wu-Tang logo emblazoned with “Ottawa.”
The story behind the A Better Tomorrow collection is a heartwarming one. Canadian entrepreneur Adam Miron — co-founder of cannabis brand Hexo Corp— tagged a bunch of influential artists he felt could lend a helping hand to vulnerable folk of Ottawa.
We got you @adammiron @ottawafoodbank. Just made a donation ourselves. Appreciate Canada holding us down all these years. To our Canadian brothers, @strombo, @solicitorct & @therealrussellp, can you spread the word for more donations? #fighthunger #ottawa https://t.co/dFWPqCuyww

Thanks to Miron’s call to action incited a response from the Wu-Tang Clan, who’s tweet went viral leading to the Ottawa Food Bank raising $170,000 in a day and $280,000 in 48 hours.

“It’s insane how viral that tweet went. There were all these people replying on Twitter saying how they donated $36 or $20 or whatever, and that hit us pretty hard,” Mustafa Shaikh, co-founder of 36 Chambers told Complex.
“Really it was just one small act of generosity that inspired all these other acts of generosity within the Ottawa community, and that inspired us to create the A Better Tomorrow collection to further help these different charities that are really providing mission-critical work in this unprecedented crisis.”

Though the coronavirus pandemic has obliterated the live music industry, the industry has stepped up to the plate, helping the most vulnerable and those fighting on the frontline wherever they can.
Earlier this month Pantera raised $100,000 for MusiCares’ coronavirus appeal through the release of a social distancing-themed t-shirt. April saw Corey Taylor auction off a treasure trove of guitars from his personal collection raising $150,000 for Direct Relief.
