100 gecs were originally going to be touring Australia this winter, announcing the shows along with a slew of tour dates that would have seen the experimental pop duo hit the road throughout North America, the UK and Europe.

Their worldwide tour would have kicked off after their much-hyped appearance at Coachella this April, with the Australian shows coming at the end of their three-month run. Now, the shows have had to be cancelled, with the group’s appearance at Coachella also being postponed to the later months of the year.

However, the tour announcement came just ahead of 100 gecs’ remix album announcement, 1000 gecs & The Tree of Clues. While tour dates have had to shift, it looks like the release of the remix album will be going ahead as originally planned.

Featuring both official remixes and some remixes that have been crowd-sourced, the remix album is going to give fans more than enough ‘new’ material to keep ’em going while they wait for the duo to hit a venue near them.

The gecs duo have already begun sharing some of the 1000 gecs goods, sharing a remix of ‘Ringtone’ featuring Charli XCX, Rico Nasty and Kero Kero Bonito.

Headbang to the masterpiece that is ‘money machine’ by 100 gecs.
