360 has been announced as one of the panelists for next Monday’s episode of the beloved ABC panel show Q&A. The rapper, real name Matt Colwell, will appear alongside fellow panelists Brian Cox, a particle physicist, Richard Gill, renowned conductor, and Nalini Joshi, a leading mathematician.
Though it’s a surprising choice for some, Colwell couldn’t be more chuffed to be sharing some personal space with show host and silver fox Tony Jones. “I’m honoured and stoked to be a guest on Q&A on Monday, 20th on ABC, with Brian Cox a Particle Physicist, Richard Gill from the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Nalini Joshi a Mathemetician, Should be pretty wild! Tune In!” he wrote on Facebook.
According to the ‘Price Of Fame’ rapper, the episode’s discussion will revolve around the topic of “PASSION [in] science, arts, music”.
The Box Hill Senior Secondary College graduate won’t be the only one representing the mainstream side of music during his appearance, either. Cox, in addition to his work in academia and television, was also a member of ’90s dance outfit D:Ream, best known for their hits ‘Things Can Only Get Better’ and ‘U R The Best Thing’.
Colwell’s bio on the Q&A website notes such highlights as his performances alongside Eminem on the superstar’s Rapture 2014 tour, which, in addition to fulfilling Colwell’s childhood fantasies, was the first tour that the rapper performed whilst sober.
The bio also credits his outspoken advocacy for those affected by “homophobia, mental illness and suicide” as well as his efforts to “further [expand] our understanding of their affect through his music”.
To catch 360 on Q&A, tune into ABC next Monday, 20th October 2014 at 9:35pm AEST. To register to be an audience member for the live show or to submit a question head over to the Q&A website.
Considering the rapper’s outspoken nature and his appreciation for the c-word, it’s sure to be a memorable appearance.
