Melbourne community radio institution 3RRR has announced its annual radiothon which raises money through subscriptions to enable to venerable institution to operate and give musicians and music fans an outlet for some of the best radio programming in the country. Triple R’s annual Radiothon kicks off this Friday, August 12 and will run until Sunday, August 21.
The theme for this year’s radiothon is ‘Choose Your Destination’. It’s the time of year when we’re asked to choose to remain a part of the Triple R community, and to support the station with an annual subscription. During Radiothon you can expect to hear a lot of travel and holiday sounds, stories of why people make Triple R their destination, and all kinds of madness over the coming weeks.
Triple R is a fully independent, non-profit community radio station that relies on listener subscriptions to keep running.Everyone who subscribes during Radiothon by taking out an annual subscription between 6am Friday, August 12th and 5pm Wednesday, September 21st will go into the draw for a massive list of prizes.
