Much loved Australian singer and songwriter Missy Higgins has announced she will embark on a run of special concerts early next year, including a one-off performance at Melbourne’s iconic Hamer Hall.

These shows will be the ARIA Award winner’s first tour since she sold-out a national run back in September and October 2014 and will see her hitting up some unique venues, such as Sydney’s Taronga Zoo.

“For the whole of this year I’ve been experiencing life as a first time Mum, and it’s been incredible, but I really can’t wait to get out of the house and play a few gigs,” Missy explains.

“I’ve actually been writing a lot of songs lately so I’m looking forward to trying a few of them out at these gigs along with all the others of course. Either way, it’ll be nice to sing something other than ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ for a change!”

Supporting Missy for her shows at Hamer Hall, Twilight at Taronga, and Tasmania’s new Skyfields will be none other than Something For Kate frontman and solo artist in his own right, Paul Dempsey.
