After suffering some significant blows and a lacklustre result on its crowdfunding campaign, Legion Festival was finally confirmed as a go by organisers earlier this year.

However, it’s now suffered another setback with international act Devil You Know confirming they will no longer be playing the event, which is set to launch next January.

John Sankey, the founder of Legion Festival, left his post as the group’s drummer earlier this year in order to focus on building the Soundwave replacement festival.

However, as far as anyone knew, the band were still slated for the festival bill. But the dates on the band’s recently announced UK tour raised some eyebrows.

“Not playing legion fest given their U.K Tour Announcement? It falls on some of the dates of the festival,” a fan asked on Twitter, to which the band replied, “Not playing that.”

Legion Festival have not yet unveiled a statement officially confirming the cancellation of Devil You Know, but if the band’s playing the UK at the same time as the event, that’s a done deal.
