The Ape Australian Tour 2013
The Ape features a mighty lineup – Tex Perkins, guitarist Raul Sanchez (Magic Dirt, River of Snakes), drummer Gus Agars (The Gin Club, The Dark Horses), bass player Pat Bourke (Ladyboyz, Dallas Crane) – but just don’t call them a supergroup! “I can’t stand supergroups, I hate them,” Sanchez told Tone Deaf in a recent interview celebrating the band’s debut single ‘Crawl Back’, and now The Ape are set to release their debut album, on 4th October. To celebrate they’ll be dragging their collective knuckles to bring the mighty mammal that is their live show to stages across Australia for an East Coast Tour that kickstarts as they release their eponymous, independently released LP. Don’t miss your chance to encounter The Ape up close and personal. Tickets on sale now.

The Gooch Palms Australian Tour 2013

“Move over Savage Garden, Australia’s got a new favourite duo, The Gooch Palms!” so goes the rallying cry from the scuzzy garage/surf rock twosome as they launch the title track to their debut album, NOVO’s (watch/listen here). Recorded over a short day at the “Gooch Farm”, before sending it across the Pacific, to be mixed and mastered by NOBUNNY guitarist, Jason Testasecca, NOVO’s has also prompted the band to take their charming brand of slacker-punk to Australian audiences as they tour across the great Southern Land next month on their first headline tour.
