Finally! We’ve all been waiting somewhat patiently since 2009’s Romborama, and now the Italian Venom mask-wearing Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo has come back with the second Bloody Beetroots album, one which moves from an EDM underground sound, to something that will take you back to the Boiler Room of Big Day Out.

Starting out with the popular banger ‘Spank’, the mood is set for the rest of the piece.

There is a bit of everything mixed in there, some disco, rock ‘n’ roll (‘Raw’), a bit of dramatics and theatrics (‘The Furious’) and if you’re looking for some killer bass breakdowns check out ‘Running’ and ‘The Source’.

The piece also isn’t short on it’s guest appearances, from Tommy Lee to Paul McCartney & Youth, it’s save to say The Bloody Beetroots have delivered a winner.

While there are a few filler tracks that you could probably skip over, such as ‘Out Of Sight’, as a whole it is an album that will definitely keep the party going and probably see some damage done to a few dance floors.

It doesn’t go out quietly either, with the final track, ‘Volevo Un Gatto Nero’, leaving us on a rather aggressive note that may leave you head banging and moshing.

With a sound that is pretty much what you get when you cross heavy metal and electronic bass tunes, the DJs leave us on a high, and just like that moment when the lights black out at a gig, the question now is, how long do we need to wait for the encore?
