Perth’s exploding alt-rock three-piece The Love Junkies had a mega 2014, the band releasing the smashing record Blowing On The Devil’s Strumpet as well as embarking on their fifth, that’s right fifth national tour in September/October of last year.
Clearly the trio impressed the right person somewhere along their way, having been announced on the latest announcement of the musical mecca that is South By South West (SXSW) held in Austin, Texas from 17 – 22 March, however there is a problem- it ain’t cheap to get there, these legends need your help.

The band aren’t expecting you to simply fork over your hard-earneds, instead they made a range of fundraisers to help them achieve their dreams “and pay for the burritos” as they joke, they’ll be hosting a series of activities, including some live shows and giveaways over the next month.
The Love Junkies will be performing February 21st at their home away from home Mojo’s in North Fremantle, following this at The Astor Lounge on Sunday March 1st. Purchasing tickets to both events also entitles you to a limited edition fresh recording of a previously unreleased song and any remaining copies will be given away at The Astor Lounge show on a first in best dressed basis.
