Haven’t figured out what your Boxing Day plans are just yet? Allow Perth’s beloved Rosemount Hotel to help. They’ve only gone and nabbed an intimate DJ set from Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker, who’ll be spinning tunes as DJ Defs Worth It.
A Kevin Parker DJ set isn’t your usual ‘guy from a popular band is taught how to use a fader 10 minutes before the set’ affair. He uses the gear that builds his albums to live sample, loop, phase, and mess with tracks as he’s DJing.
He’ll also be inviting a few mates from his home at Spinning Top, so you’re going to want to make sure The Rosemount is the only place you’re at this Boxing Day. Tickets are on sale now and come in at a very reasonable $10.
Parker will of course be hot on the heels of an absolutely massive 12 months filled with critical acclaim for Tame Impala’s latest album, Currents, ARIAs, sold-out performances around the world, and now, a Grammy nomination.
