It’s more or less agreed upon that music hit kind of a new low with the ascension of Australian ‘rapper’ Iggy Azealea to what we’ll for all intents and purposes call ‘not un-famous’, but it seems like that’s pretty much in the past.
At least, we certainly haven’t heard from her since she dropped that single that was kind of like ‘Fancy’, but not enough for us to actually like it. Finally, some sanity has been restored to the world and we can all sleep a little easier.
Well, that’s how we felt until we saw this music video recently unearthed by the folks at Noisey. The clip by Hucci Luv is titled ‘Snatch’ and try as we might, we still can’t figure out how something like this was allowed to happen.
We don’t know what she’s doing with her voice, we can’t discern any of the lyrics besides ‘snatch’ and ‘weave’, we’re not sure what she’s doing with her butt out in front of a servo, and we can’t figure out how she got Angry Anderson in her video.
Of course, it’s possible that this whole thing is actually a biting satire on the excesses of hip-hop culture or whatever, but as commenter Dyers88 put it, “This is embarrassing… unless it’s a parody, and then it’s still embarrassing.”
