28-year-old Gold Coast actor Johann Ofner has been identified as the man shot and killed during the filming of a Bliss N Eso music video.
Ofner was shot in the chest inside Brisbane bar Brooklyn Standard at 1:55pm yesterday.
According to a post published on his Facebook page, Ofner was due to compete in Channel Nine’s forthcoming Australian Ninja Warrior show.
Ofner leaves behind a six-year-old daughter.
Detective Inspector Tom Armitt called the fatality a “workplace incident”.
While details of the “multiple firearms” used during filming were not revealed, images posted to Ofner’s Instagram include a handgun, and this unsettling post:
Bliss N Eso were not on set at the time of the incident.
The trio released the below statement via Facebook Monday night, which read in part: “Our hearts and prayers go out to the victim’s family and friends as well as the cast and crew…”
