Foo Fighters just ran the inaugural version of their very own music festival, Cal Jam – a star-studded rock lineup of QOTSA, Liam Gallagher, Japandroids, Wolf Alice and more squeezing into California’s San Bernadino.
Thankfully, it gave us a couple of surprise collabs, with Foo Fighters joined by the former Oasis frontman for a rendition of ‘Come Together’ by his favourite band, Pitchfork reports, with Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry jumping in as well.
Of course, Foo Fighters have just released the new Justin TImberlake-featuring album Concrete & Gold, their second LP to hit the #1 spot on the US charts, while Gallagher just dropped his debut solo record ‘As You Were’.
Both are heading to Australia in 2018, too, with the Foo Fighters playing a headline tour, and Gallagher showing up for Falls Festival and a pair of sideshows.
Joe Perry, meanwhile, has a bit of time off as he waits for his bandmate Steven Tyler to recover from his recent hospitalisation, which forced Aerosmith to cancel the remainder of their tour.
