It’s been a few years since US hard-rockers Fozzy made their way over to Aussie shores, but keen fans can rejoice with news that the group are set to return for their first headline tour in almost a decade this November.

Last in the country for the 2013 edition of the Soundwave Festival, Chris Jericho’s Fozzy are coming back to Australia later this year to play a series of huge headline shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, ad Brisbane.

Having first formed back in 1999, Fozzy made a name for themselves rather quickly with two albums of predominantly cover versions, before releasing their first record of originals in 2005. Now, having released their seventh album, Judas, last year, the group reckon its high time to come back and give Aussie fans what they’ve been missing.

“We are so excited to return to one of our favourite countries in the world,” said frontman Chris Jericho. “And the fact that it’s our first time in five years makes it even better!”

“The Judas Rising Tour has been our most successful ever and we can’t wait to tear up the stages of Fozztralia, with the high energy, can’t miss show that Fozzy has become famous for! We can’t wait to see all our old friends who’ve been coming to rock with us since 2005, as well as make heaps of new ones … so put on your seatbelt and grab a helmet as this is gonna get CRAZY!”

Tickets to the group’s headline shows go on sale at 9am, on Wednesday, June 27th through Silverback Touring. Be sure not to miss out on a ticket to one of most hard-rocking shows you’ll see all year, or you might need to wait another five years to get this chance again!
