Nine Inch Nails have released a live video of their cover of ‘Metal’, and it features a surprise appearance from industrial legend Gary Numan.

Last month, Nine Inch Nails played three back-to-back shows at The Joint in Las Vegas. These shows saw the band tackle a Joy Division cover, pay tribute to David Bowie and debut a couple of ‘Bad Witch’ tracks live. The band saved the best for last, by bringing out Gary Numan to perform with them at the final show.

“Metal” was originally recorded by Numan for his 1979 album The Pleasure Principle. NIN cut their teeth with a cover of the song on their 2000 remix LP Things Falling Apart. It is the first time in almost nine years that NIN have performed the cover live. Check out the performance below:
