Remember when every hip-hop festival in Australia used to go under?
Well, thankfully that time is (hopefully) in the past, with Rolling Loud (cue Chamillionare jokes), the Miami born hip-hop mega event, today announcing that it’s coming to Australia, and we expect them to bring one hell of a lineup along for the ride.
With the inaugural event set to go down at Sydney Olympic Park on January 2019, literally bringing the heat in every sense of the word, the one-off event (for this year) will replace the likes of Soulfest, Supafest and Heatwave, just to name a few.
Founders Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif certainly have the track-record to give punters confidence for a great event, with Rolling Loud Miami editions boasting the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Cardi B, A$AP Rocky & Post Malone, among others, on the bill.
In a statement the pair said “After back to back sell-outs in Miami and Rolling Loud-branded festivals and experiences across the US, we’re thrilled to make our Australian debut.
“Rap music is the most popular and fastest growing genre of music and the world deserves to experience curated lineups of its biggest stars and hottest new talent.”
