Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has announced his engagement to girlfriend Alicia Dove. Taylor shared the news through his Instagram, where he posted a photo of his fiancee’s captioned as “L’adorilust. Forever. And Ever.”
Naturally, fans were curious as to how the proposal was executed — taking to Twitter to ask Dove how Taylor popped this question.
“After breakfast at home, as I put the salsa back in the fridge I shut the door and he was standing there with a ring,” she shared. “Got down on one knee, and I immediately started crying on the floor with him. In our kitchen. In our sweats nothing fancy. It was fucking perfect.”
Dove continued to share the story of how she and Taylor came to be, sharing:
We kept running into each other and from just that alone he learned of CB. In 2017 he hit me up to tour bc he had seen us on the Buckcherry run. In building that tour together, we clicked intensely. We got pulled apart for a while, then came back together by the end of our tour. https://t.co/moxJZcvCxI

A wedding isn’t the only thing Taylor is in the midst of planning. It was revealed last month that Slipknot are gearing up to release their highly-anticipated sixth studio record on August 9th. This will be their first new album in five years, following their 2014 record .5: The Gray Chapter in 2014.
The band will be heading down under later this year with Metallica for a slew of stadium shows. Tour dates and ticket information below.
