In a recent interview with Capital FM’s Breakfast program, pop superstar Billie Eilish admitted that she thought the Spice Girls were a fictional band created for the 1997 film, Spice World.
“I thought all the music was written for the movie,” Eilish admitted. “I thought all the characters were cast for those characters. I didn’t figure it out until two years ago.”
In an interview with on Ellen last week, Eilish shared “I watched that movie [Spice World] like 40 times. I remember seeing Spice Girls [were coming back] and thinking, ‘Oh my god, they’re re-enacting the movie.’”
Don’t hold it against her though, Spice World, came out before she was born.
Billie Eilish will be heading to Australia later this month for Groovin The Moo and a slew of massive sideshows. Tour dates and ticket information below.
