Highly Suspect has finally unveiled the details of their new album, which is officially titled MCID, out this November. To hype the release of the new album the band has shared not one, but two singles, ’16’ and ‘Upperdrugs’.

MCID is slated for a November 1st release, and will see the rock trio joined by an incredible range of featuring artists, from French metal act Gojira, to Nothing But Thieves and even rapper Young Thug.

Regarding the album’s lyrical content, frontman Johnny Stevens remarked, “The themes include self-loathing, substance abuse, image issues, addressing my past and changing my future, with a sprinkle of anti-Trump, false social media worship, heartbreak, hope, depression, and suicide. There are also a few references to the pressures of fame and how I won’t play into it.”

In regards to the new sounds featured on ’16’, Stevens told Billboard, “I probably wouldn’t have made another album if we were going to stick with rock.”

’16’ tells the very personal story of Stevens learning that his girlfriend was pregnant, only to find out during the birth that the baby wasn’t his.

In regards to the second of the two new songs ‘Upperdrugs’, Stevens said: “We want people to know that this album still has some of our roots on it… But also if you don’t like what you hear, that’s fine, I really don’t care.”
