Legendary composer Randy Newman has announced that he will be bringing his ‘An Evening With Randy Newman’ show to Australia and New Zealand next year.
These shows mark the first time Newman has played Australia since 2011 and will be the first time he has ever played the shores of New Zealand. Kicking off at Riverside Theatre in Perth on January 30th, Newman will then venture to Hammer Hall in Melbourne on February 2nd, State Theatre in Sydney on February 4th, QPAC Concert Hall in Brisbane on February 7th.
Newman will then cross the Tasman to Civic Theatre in Auckland on February 9th, Wellington Opera House on February 11th, and finish up at Isaac Theatre Royal in Christchurch on February 13th.
Throughout his illustrious career, Newman has composed some of the most iconic scores that have soundtracked your favourite childhood films; including all four Toy Story films, A Bug’s Life, Cars and Cars 3. The Grammy-winning artist recently collaborated with Rex Orange County on his version of Newman’s ‘You’ve Got A Friend In Me, and Chance The Rapper on ‘5 Year Plan’ on album track The Big Day.
