Queens of the Stone Age have announced that they will be releasing their seminal record, Songs For the Deaf, on a limited-edition vinyl repressing.
The band have teamed up with Vinyl Me, Please. The double record will be pressed on translucent red and black vinyl. It is set to be released with a collectable art print featuring the album’s alternative artwork, as well as cocktail recipe inspired by the record.

This special-edition pressing joins a bunch of previously-announced vinyl reissues announced by the band earlier this month.
The band’s Interscope discography is set to be reissued in the coming months, with Rated R and Songs For The Deaf dropping on November 22nd, while Lullabies To Paralyze and Era Vulgaris are planned for release on December 20th.
Released on high-quality, 180gram vinyl, these records are an instrumental addition to the collection of QOTSA fanatic. While there’s no word whether these reissues will contain vinyl-only tracks like ‘Ode To Clarissa’, ‘Bloody Hammer’, or ‘Running Joke’, we’re crossing our fingers and toes that these tracks make an appearance.
Last month, Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme has announced that his musical collective, Desert Sessions, will be releasing new music for the first time in 16 years.

Throughout 1997 and 2003, different version of the group released 10 records. Now, Josh Homme has announced the arrival of two new Desert Sessions records, Vols. 11 & 12.
Vol. 11 is titled Arrivederci Despair; and Vol. 12, Tightwads & Nitwits & Critics & Heels. The Homme-produced record was recorded at Rancho De La Luna studios in Joshua Tree, California.
The record promises “eight new songs that embody the legacy of freedom from expectations and inhibitions that stretches back to 1997.”
