It might be all play-acting, but Undertaker and Metallica are still one hell of a combo, as evidenced by the wrestler’s recent return to WrestleMania over the weekend.

The legendary thrash titans and recently crowned biggest metal band on YouTube lent their song Now That We’re Dead to WrestleMania 36, with the song accompanying some pretty metal footage of The Undertaker riding his motorcycle through the fog toward an ominous-looking house.

Brutal. Watch below.

Of course, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the event had to be moved from its planned spot at Tampa’s Raymond Hames Stadium, taking place instead at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

Obviously, the event was performed with no audience in attendance.

Quiz: What do you consider to be your favourite Metallica album?

Metallica hasn’t been idle throughout the crisis, last week announcing a $350,000 USD donation to four coronavirus relief funds.

Additionally, the band has kicked off an online concert series featuring archival live footage for fans to enjoy whilst in lockdown around the world.

The band also heavily hinted towards some rescheduled Australian dates, after the band postponed their Australian tour with Slipknot last year due to health reasons.

“To our friends in Australia and New Zealand, please know that we have not forgotten and you’re still in our hearts and minds,” said the band in a statement.

“We will make it to your part of the world as soon as we can. We promise!”

While it’s pretty cool seeing legendary wrestlers use the band’s music, and even newly discovered sea creatures getting named after them, Metallica touring down-under is the light at the end of the tunnel that we can all look forward to once this chapter is over.
