This is sure to make the day of Melbourne live music fans of all stripes. Melbourne Music Week has unveiled the lineup for their all-ages event, Live At The Bowl.
The Australian Music Vault has teamed up with youth music organisation The Push to bring you an excellent drug, alcohol and smoke-free celebration of live music, Live At The Bowl.
The festivities will kick off at Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne on Saturday, February 20th, and features a stellar lineup chock-a-block with some of the most beloved acts in the Australian music scene.
Headlining the event is Coffs Harbour ratbags Skegss, fresh off the release of their excellent new single ‘Wake Up.’ They’ll be joined by fellow alt-rock powerhouse Ruby Fields, the “surf rock dream team” King Stingray, and Girls Rock! Melbourne graduates, The Vovos. It’s gonna be a ripsnorter of an afternoon.

“We are absolutely stoked to be bringing all-ages audiences back to the Sidney Myer Music Bowl this summer,” shares The Push CEO Kate Duncan. “We know that young people have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19, which is why it is so important to support our future contemporary music industry professionals with our training and development program, New Slang.”

For context, New Slang is the annual training programme that mentors budding, underage music aficionados to equip them in the practice of staging live music events. Every year The Push enlists a troupe of young music lovers to curate and execute all-ages events.
Obviously, we’re still teetering on the edge of caution when it comes to live music in the time of coronavirus. You can find all the coronavirus safe information at The Push’s website.
