Another week, another cover by Robert Fripp and Toyah Wilcox, and this time around it was ‘Breaking the Law’ by Judas Priest.
Yep, the husband and wife duo’s Sunday Lunch video series has quickly become one of the highlights of our week, and their latest edition was no exception.
Their cover of ‘Breaking the Law’ is as delightfully chaotic as we’ve come to expect, with Wilcox donning a police officer’s uniform complete with badge and cuffs.
On top of that, the pair were once again joined by guitarist Sidney Jake, who has performed while wearing a mask in their last few videos.
In a break from tradition, Fripp also contributed backing vocals to the cover, as well as his usual guitar playing.
“The Kitchen trio are ‘Breaking The Law’ this weekend – with a rare singing part from Robert Fripp – and the mysterious @sidneyjake is back!” Willcox wrote in the video’s YouTube description.
Last week the group performed an Easter-themed rendition of Iron Maiden’s ‘Number of the Beast’, which saw Wilcox wear a pair of bunny ears and hold three carrots as she sang.

Over the course of the UK’s stage four lockdowns, Fripp and Wilcox have shared covers of rock classics from the likes of Nirvana, Metallica, Jimi Hendrix, Guns N’ Roses, Foo Fighters and more.
In an interview with The Guardian, Willcox revealed why they began the Sunday Lunch series.
“Here I am in this house with this 74-year-old husband who I really don’t want to live without,” she said.
She continued: “He was withdrawing, so I thought: ‘I’m going to teach him to dance.’ And it became a challenge.”
“The response was so overwhelmingly positive, and now, six months down the line, he can see that it was quite an important thing to do, in that it became a shared experience with an audience that needed to be reminded of the beauty of human laughter.”
