Snoop Dogg has announced a massive ‘I WANNA THANK ME’ arena tour of Australia in 2022, his first tour of the country in seven years.
The hip hop legend has officially unveiled plans for several major indoor arena shows next year. His last performance in Australia came in 2014 when he headlined the Big Day Out.
Hailed by Rolling Stone as ‘America’s Most Lovable Pimp; a hip-hop star that has survived gangsta rap, charmed Hollywood and won over soccer moms – a hip-hop family man who’s evolved from consummate thug to ultimate mack’, Snoop remains one of the biggest names in music, almost three decades into his career.
The ‘I WANNA THANK ME’ tour will see Snoop celebrate the his remarkable 17th album of the same name, released in 2019. That album was accompanied by a documentary which celebrated 25 years of Snoop Dogg – a career that has seen him cement his undisputed influence on music with chart-topping, multi-platinum records, while also solidifying his importance as a cultural icon, actor, and businessman.
The tour begins in Perth at the RAC Arena on October 26th, 2022, and then heads to Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney and Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne before wrapping up at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on November 1st, 2022 (full dates below).
Pre-sale tickets will be available via Telstra Plus from this Friday, September 10th, 12pm (local time). General public tickets will then go on sale from Monday, September 13th, 4pm (local time) via Ticketek.
