Ahead of its release later this month, The Decemberists are streaming their new album of US National Public Radio.
The follow up to The Hazards of Love is entitled by The King Is Dead, and rather than being a sly Smiths homage, it moves away from the British folk inspiration of its predecessor and shifts into American folk and roots territory.
Front man Colin Meloy is joined on the album by guest vocalists Michael Stipe of REM and the sublime Gillian Welch. Stream it all here.
