Oasis’ reunion tour was always going to be carnage, but even Liam Gallagher is over the ticketing drama at this point.
It’s been six months since the Britpop titans announced their long-awaited return, and in that time, the ticket-buying process has gone from “Champagne Supernova” to a full-blown “F***in’ in the Bushes”-style debacle.
Between Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing model, long wait times, and an army of bots hoarding tickets faster than Noel Gallagher can write passive-aggressive lyrics about his brother, getting a seat at an Oasis show has been more stressful than the band’s entire history combined.
Things hit a boiling point this week when Ticketmaster officially started cancelling 50,000 resale tickets deemed to have been purchased using banned methods. This move was supposed to clean up the mess, but instead, it’s left fans frustrated, confused, and scrambling for answers—so naturally, someone went straight to Liam Gallagher for answers.
A fan on X (formerly Twitter) asked the ever-diplomatic frontman, “Liam, what do you think of the ticket situation? Thinking fans are bots and getting their money returned?”

Liam, true to form, fired back six minutes later with a response that will probably end up on a T-shirt at Camden Market: “I don’t make the rules were trying to do the right thing it is what it is I’m the singer get of my case.”
No punctuation, no sympathy—just peak Liam energy.
Of course, that didn’t stop the flood of replies, with fans continuing to press him for thoughts, theories, and solutions. But if history has taught us anything, it’s that Liam Gallagher does not have time for your complaints, your questions, or your Oxford commas.
The fan clarified they were just asking “if [he’d] seen it”. Gallagher responded by noting, “I see everything I work out”.
Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher has been playing good cop, assuring fans that the upcoming Oasis shows won’t be the kind of explosive, booze-fueled affairs they were in the ‘90s, mostly because they’re “on the wrong side of 50 now” and, according to him, “too old to give a s**t.”
“There won’t be any fallouts, there won’t be any fighting. It’s a lap of honour for the band.”
A truly inspiring rallying cry for one of the most volatile bands in rock history.
They also officially shut down rumours of a doco chronicling the band’s return, despite multiple reports suggesting cameras would be rolling on the biggest comeback since, well, Oasis last broke up.
When asked by a fan if a documentary was in the works, Liam replied, “There’s been enough said about this band.”
Ticketmaster, for their part, has continued to stress that only tickets purchased through “approved channels” will be valid. In other words, if you snagged your seat through a sketchy resale site that sounds like a knockoff energy drink, you might want to check your emails.
So, where does that leave Oasis fans? Stressed, confused, and still not holding a ticket—but at least they got a classic Liam Gallagher one-liner out of it.
While fans may be fighting over tickets, at least they’ll have something new (ish) to add to their collection. To mark 25 years since the release of Standing on the Shoulder of Giants, the band is reissuing the album on limited edition silver and coloured vinyl, out February 28th.
A pivotal record in Oasis’ story, Standing on the Shoulder of Giants saw the band embrace a darker, more psychedelic sound—and was also their first album released under their own label, Big Brother Recordings.
