RÜFÜS DU SOL have responded to reports that a woman was assaulted at their show in Los Angeles over the weekend.
Per the LA Times, a video shared online shows a man knocking a woman to the ground at the Sydney trio’s show at Rose Bowl Stadium and repeatedly hitting her. The victim responded to the video shared on the Festive Owl news platform, writing: “This man punched me in the face, knocking me out and causing significant bleeding, while he continued attacking our group.”
It’s alleged that the man seen in the video attacked the victim after she accidentally spilt a drink on him. Though he eventually moved away, it’s alleged the man returned after 30 minutes and began screaming at the woman.
“I tried to calm the situation and apologized again — and the next thing I remember I woke up in a medical tent an hour later and missed the entire show.”
It’s further been alleged by other concertgoers that “crowd control was nonexistent” at the Rose Bowl Stadium and many feared for their safety.
In a statement shared online, RÜFÜS DU SOL slammed the behaviour of the perpetrator.
