Men At Work are heading back Down Under, with Colin Hay bringing the band to Australia for a run of headline shows later this year.
The Australian rock favourites will play four headline dates across October and November, beginning at Sydney’s State Theatre on October 20th before visiting Canberra, Melbourne, and Fremantle.

The tour comes 45 years after the release of Men At Work’s debut album, Business As Usual, which spawned some of the band’s biggest songs, including “Down Under”, “Who Can It Be Now?” and “Be Good Johnny”. The tour will revisit the album, alongside material from across Men At Work’s catalogue.
“What has clearly stood the test of time, are the songs. Forty-five years on, I still hear them in the street, on the radio, in supermarkets, they are still going strong,” Hay said.
Released in 1981, Business As Usual became an international breakthrough for the Melbourne band, spending 15 weeks at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 and five weeks atop the UK Albums Chart.
Hay has remained active in the decades since Men At Work’s original run, releasing music and touring as a solo artist as well as performing as a longtime member of Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band. In recent years, he has assembled a new LA-based Men At Work lineup and taken the band back on the road internationally.
“I would never have predicted back in 1985, that 40 years on, I would still be fronting Men At Work, this version featuring Cubans, a Peruvian, an American, and me,” he said. “Over the last few years, I have gone out on tour as Men At Work, on a quest of discovery. To discover whether or not we still have an audience. Turns out we do, people of all ages, of all different backgrounds, who find something in the songs that brings them joy.”
The shows will complement their co-headline tour with Australian Crawl, the ‘Red Hot Summer Tour’, which also kicks off in October. The travelling festival will hit ten locations across Australia throughout October and November, bringing together a lineup stacked with other homegrown favourites including Birds of Tokyo, Vika & Linda, Eskimo Joe, Boom Crash Opera, and Ella Hooper.
