Carcass Reschedule Australia and New Zealand Tour to 2027

Carcass have rescheduled their upcoming Australia and New Zealand tour, with the death metal veterans confirming their ‘Putrefying Down Under’ run will now take place in September 2027.

The band have also postponed dates in China and India due to what they described as a “deeply upsetting family situation” involving drummer Dan Wilding.

“We’re incredibly sorry to announce that we have decided to reschedule our upcoming ‘Putrefying Down Under’ Australia/NZ tour along with our China and India dates,” the band said in a statement.

“Our drummer Dan is facing a deeply upsetting family situation, and his priority right now is being with his family. Out of respect for everyone involved, we won’t be sharing further details, but we hope our fans will understand that this is a situation where family has to come first and he simply cannot be so far away from home for so long.

“We know how much people have been looking forward to these shows and rescheduling them is not a decision we have taken lightly. Thank you for your patience, understanding and, most importantly, your kindness and support at what is a very difficult time for our band and family.

“All existing tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled dates, further information to follow. Thank you for understanding.”

All tickets already purchased will remain valid for the new dates, while refunds will be available from the original point of purchase for fans now unable to attend.

The band was due to arrive later this month.

The rescheduled tour will begin at Perth’s Magnet House on September 7th, 2027, before moving through Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Townsville, with the run wrapping up in Auckland’s Galatos on September 17th.

Carcass will be joined by Brujeria for most of the tour, marking the latter’s return to Australia after 10 years. Brujeria will not perform at the Townsville or Auckland dates.

Local supports will also join the tour in each city, including Kimura in Perth, Anggrath in Adelaide, Nembutolik in Melbourne, Hormagaunt in Sydney and Cryptivore in Brisbane.

Townsville’s show at The Warehouse will feature additional sets from Psycroptic and Necrophage, while Just One Fix and Soul Void will support in Auckland.
