The country singer stood by her decision to cancel, after police investigated threats involving gunfire and explosives but found no credible threat.
Ella Langley has defended cancelling her Tulsa concert over a security threat, telling fans at her next show that she would make the same decision again.
Speaking at United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock, Texas, on Saturday, 10 October, the country singer addressed the cancellation of her scheduled performance at Tulsa’s BOK Center the previous evening.
“I would have made yesterday’s decision 10 billion times over,” Langley told the crowd, according to People’s report of footage shared online.
She said she would only perform when she felt the show was a safe place for people to enjoy music. Langley also told the audience she had considered cancelling the Lubbock concert, People reported, but ultimately felt reassured that she could go ahead.
Her comments followed a police investigation into a call threatening violence at the Tulsa event.
According to ABC News’ account of Tulsa Police Captain Richard Meulenberg’s public statement, officers searched the venue with bomb-detection dogs before the concert and cleared it to proceed.
Police subsequently received a call warning of potential gunfire and bombs. Officers returned for further searches, but said they found no credible threat. A police spokesperson told ABC that the FBI was assisting with the investigation.

Langley’s cancellation announcement said the decision followed advice from local authorities, the venue and her security team.
However, Meulenberg told local broadcaster News On 6 that police had informed the performers of their findings and had not advised cancellation.
“They made the decision upon themselves to cancel the event,” he said.
Langley apologised to fans for the travel, expense and planning involved in attending. News On 6 subsequently interviewed attendee Tabitha Barker, who said her party had already received refunds, although the venue’s announcement said further refund information would follow.
The incident comes as Langley continues to connect with Australian listeners. ‘Choosin’ Texas’ returned to No. 1 on the ARIA Singles Chart for the week of 12 October, while Dandelion leads the corresponding Country Albums Chart.
A replacement Tulsa date and the refund arrangements for all ticket holders remain unverified. Langley’s official schedule lists her next performances at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre on 13 and 14 October.
