Australian punk veterans Hard-Ons are teaming up with Poison Idea frontman Jerry A for an extensive national tour in March 2027, bringing their long-running musical partnership to stages across the country.

The 13-date run kicks off in Woy Way on March 4th, before heading through Adelaide, Perth, Margaret River, Canberra, Geelong, Melbourne, Frankston, Hobart, Newcastle, Sydney, the Gold Coast and Brisbane.

The tour follows the release of the band’s self-titled collaborative album, Hard-Ons/Jerry A, which arrived in August through Cheersquad Records & Tapes.

While the pairing might seem like a punk rock supergroup decades in the making, the connection between the Australian outfit and the American hardcore heavyweight goes back considerably further.

Hard-Ons first toured with Poison Idea in the late 1980s, with Jerry A later contributing vocals to “The Blade” on their 1993 album Too Far Gone. They’ve remained connected ever since, eventually joining forces again for a run of US dates in 2025 and European shows earlier this year.

Those reunions paved the way for a more permanent collaboration, beginning with the single “You Won’t Shut Up”/”Dead End Turnaround” and culminating in their ten-track album, which also features “My One Regret”.

“We toured and collaborated a few times before and always talked about getting serious… well here’s the start of that,” guitarist Blackie said of the partnership. “Hard-Ons with Jerry A! It’s happening.”

Formed in 1982, Hard-Ons have spent over four decades building a reputation as one of Australia’s most enduring and uncompromising punk bands, combining hardcore aggression with heavy metal, power pop and psychedelia.

Jerry A, meanwhile, helped establish Poison Idea as one of American hardcore’s most influential acts, with both bands pushing well beyond punk’s traditional boundaries throughout their careers.

The collaboration brings together Hard-Ons members Blackie, Ray and Murray with Jerry A on lead vocals, offering Australian audiences the chance to experience material from their new record alongside selections from the band’s extensive back catalogue.

Tickets for the March tour are on sale now via the Hard-Ons’ official links.
