Last September, ABC unveiled their latest project, a dedicated live music show The Set.

The Set strives to fill the void left by iconic music shows, Video Hits and Recovery, and they do a bloody good job. Hosted by triple j legends Dylan Alcott and Linda Marigliano, the show connects audiences with some of the finest homegrown and international talent.

Last year saw The Set enlist the ranks of Angus and Julia Stone, Ball Park Music, Vera Blue and The Presets. Now, triple j has unleashed the impeccable lineup of artists that’ll bless our screens for season 2.

Expect to see sterling sets from the cream of the crop of the best musicians of the moment. Amy Shark, Thelma Plum, Illy, Middle Kids, Boy & Bear, Dune Rats, Cosmo’s Midnight, Sampa The Great, Montaigne, The Teskey Brothers, Marlon Williams, Genesis Owusu, Thandi Phoenix, and Adrian Eagle will all be gracing The Set stage in the coming weeks, with more to be announced soon.

“I am absolutely stoked for Season 2 of The Set and can’t wait to work on the show with my great friend Linda Marigliano,” shared Dylan Alcott. “Everyone associated with this show is passionate about live music and entertainment on Australian television and wants to provide a platform to promote the very best current and emerging music talent.”

Marigliano echoed the excitement, adding “Dylan and I couldn’t believe it when our TV parents said we could throw another house party, and not only that, we’re throwing a bunch! This show is a dream to work on, the mixture of charisma and chaos between artists and audience is pure gold. We cannot wait.”

It all kicks off on Wednesday 28th of August, tune into ABC from 10 pm for a piping hot serving of live music magic.
