A supergroup full of Australia’s most revered musicians is set to tour the country later this year, celebrating The Beatles’ Abbey Road by playing the record in full.

Back in September of 1969, The Beatles released their penultimate record, Abbey Road. An instant classic due to its groundbreaking and innovative sound, the album has since become one of the most recognisable and influential releases in modern music.

Fast-forward 50 years, and a group of Aussie artists will come together to pay loving tribute to the record by playing it in full at a series of concerts.

Dubbed ARC, this new supergroup features some of the most respected musicians in the Aussie music scene.

Consisting of Kram (Spiderbait), Mark Wilson (Jet), Davey Lane (You Am I) and Darren Middleton (Powderfinger), these self-confessed Beatles tragics are set to lovingly perform Abbey Road on the live stage in August.

Performing two sets, ARC will be kicking off these highly-anticipated shows by faithfully bringing The Beatles’ most audacious creation to life on stage, with Abbey Road being played from start to finish.

To top it all off, the group will also deliver a second set comprising of a selection of hits spanning the breadth of The Beatles’ career and catalogue.

Of course, even with 33 ARIA Awards and 16 Top Ten ARIA albums between them, ARC can’t do it alone, with a number of guests joining them live on stage.

Featuring the likes of Ash Naylor (Paul Kelly, Even and RocKwiz), Linda Bull (The Black Sorrows, Vika and Linda Bull), Brett Wolfenden (The Pictures, Jim Keays), and James Fleming (Eagle and the Worm, Bob Evans), these shows are set to be a must-see for any lover of The Beatles or Aussie music.

Tickets to these shows go on sale from 10am, Monday, March 18th, with a Live Nation pre-sale kicking off at 10am on Friday, March 15th.
