Aussie music legends Augie March are set to turn the volume down a bit this August, heading out on another round of their ‘On The Quiet’ tour.

Back in 2009, the world of Australian music was busy listening to stunning releases from the Hilltop Hoods, Bluejuice, and more, undoubtedly getting rowdy with every fresh slice of Aussie music they popped onto their iPod.

To counter this, Augie March decided to hit the road fo their ‘On The Quiet’ tour, an east coast journey that saw the group take a loose and informal approach to their acclaimed repertoire with a series of largely acoustic performances.

Now, two albums and ten years later, Augie March are doing it all over again, dusting off rarities and crowd pleasers in this intimate jaunt which will see all their songs reimagined, distilled, and served up with the gorgeous sincerity they were all written with.

“The ‘On The Quiet’ format allows us to interpret the songs in their most direct and potent form,” explains drummer David Williams. “Minimal instrumentation and 4 voices.

“It’s like the audience is sitting in on a stripped back rehearsal in our studio space… intimate and homespun…performing this show to audiences around Australia back in 2009 was a fun and inspiring experience for Us… it promises to be an equally exciting prospect in 2019.”

Kicking off at the Sooki Lounge in Belgrave, Augie March will hit up St Kilda, Meeiyan, Canberra, Sydney, and Brisbane, before wrapping it all up with another Melbourne show at Howler on August 25th.

Joining the band for all shows is none other than Melbourne’s chamber-pop auteur Grand Salvo. Following on from the release of 2018’s Sea Glass, fans are truly in for something beautiful when this stunning lineup comes their way this August.
