Get ready for a summer full of music, with the Australian Open today releasing the lineup for its 2019 concert series.

Just a fortnight ago, the Australian Open gave us a sneak peek into which fantastic artists will be making their way to Melbourne for next January’s event.

While international acts like Bastille and Craig David were named, we also saw a bit of Aussie talent make the cut, with Dean Lewis and Angus & Julia Stone also announced for next year’s festivities.

Now, with just a couple of months before the players take the court, we’ve been given a clearer idea of which acts will be gracing the stage this January.

Kicking things off on January 14th will be the ferocious double header of Dean Lewis and Gretta Ray, with Conrad Sewell and CXLOE scheduled for the following night.

As the days go on, we’ll be seeing plenty of brilliant pairings, including Bastille and Nicole Millar, Ball Park Music and Bec Sandridge, Craig David and Yo Mafia, and Angus & Julia Stone and Alex Lahey.

Of course, if you’re in the mood for a bit of rock, we’ve also got Birds of Tokyo and Last Dinosaurs on the bill, as well as the likes of iconic ’90s rockers You Am I and Jebediah, and Jet and Something For Kate.

“Music and the AO Live Stage is now part of the whole Australian Open entertainment experience,” explained Australian Open Tournament Director CEO Craig Tiley.

“The line-up we’ve assembled for 2019 with the help of Mushroom Events is shaping up brilliantly and there’s something for everyone.”

Amazingly, despite this huge announcement, there are still more acts to be revealed for this year’s event, so keep your eyes peeled for what is shaping up to be one unforgettable lineup.

This year’s Australian Open will also feature a brand new, purpose-built shade structure, making this summer musical experience much more enjoyable for fans.

All Australian Open tickets – including ground passes – are on sale now.
