Even though presidential candidate Bernie Sanders suspended his campaign, you can’t deny that he’s a pretty cool guy who seems to have decent taste in music, too.

The U.S. is teetering on the edge of crunch time when it comes to the future presidential election. One candidate that resonated with many millennials, Bernie Sanders, has since suspended his campaign, but in recent meetings he’s shown off a bit of his office decor citing him as both a Red Hot Chili Peppers and Prince/New Power Generation fan.

Over the course of his time running for the upcoming presidential spot, Sanders has had multiple musicians either shout their support or rant from afar. From having Neil Young endorse him, and Portugal. The Man support him, to having Flavor Flav issue him a cease and desist, and System Of A Down’s drummer cite him as a hypocrite, Sanders and music have seemed to go hand in hand.

Now, in a recent interview with C-SPAN where the Vermont senator posed questions about COVID-19 from his office, music fans were quick to spot the decor citing him as both a Red Hot Chili Peppers, New Power Generation and Prince fan.

To the left of his head was a Red Hot Chili Peppers poster, framed, and to the right was a bass drum head from the iconic band Prince was in. Since Sanders did recruit both bands during his campaign rallies to play, this memorabilia hanging in his home office solidifies his music taste.

Now, you may not agree on his politics, but you can’t deny that he’s got a bit of good taste when it comes to bands and musicians.
