Beyoncé has shattered country music records with her Cowboy Carter tour, which has officially become the highest-grossing country tour in history.

The 32-show run generated an impressive $407.6 million with 1.6 million tickets sold, according to Billboard Boxscore data.

The achievement marks a significant milestone for both Beyoncé and the country music industry. Pollstar, the concert industry’s leading trade publication, confirmed that the Cowboy Carter tour crossed the $400 million threshold, making it the first country tour ever to reach this remarkable figure.

This success adds another chapter to Beyoncé’s touring dominance. She now holds the distinction of being the first American artist to achieve two separate tours grossing over $400 million. Her 2023 Renaissance tour previously set the bar high, amassing $579 million across 56 shows.

What makes the Cowboy Carter tour particularly impressive is its efficiency. Despite generating nearly $408 million, the tour required 24 fewer shows than Renaissance to reach the $400 million mark. This makes it the shortest tour ever to achieve such gross earnings, according to Boxscore records.

The tour’s closest competitors highlight just how exceptional this achievement is. The Renaissance tour needed 56 dates, The Rolling Stones’ ‘No Filter Tour’ required 58 dates between 2017-2021, and Metallica’s ongoing ‘M72 World Tour’ has played 60 shows so far without reaching the same milestone.

Beyoncé’s strategic approach to the Cowboy Carter tour differed markedly from her previous Renaissance trek. Rather than visiting numerous cities, she concentrated her performances in just nine locations, scheduling multiple nights in key markets. Los Angeles and the New York City area each hosted five performances, while London welcomed six shows.

The tour wrapped this month with a four-night stint in Atlanta, followed by two final performances in Las Vegas. These closing shows featured notable guest appearances, including Jay-Z, Shaboozey, and a reunion with Destiny’s Child members.

Throughout the tour, crowds witnessed highlights spanning Beyoncé’s entire career alongside material from Cowboy Carter. The shows regularly featured cameos from her children, Blue Ivy and Rumi, adding personal touches to the spectacular productions.

The Cowboy Carter tour’s conclusion likely signals the end of the second act in Beyoncé’s planned album trilogy, which began with Renaissance. The accompanying album also achieved significant recognition, finally earning Beyoncé the Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
