Bluesfest has assured fans that its 2026 lineup is coming with 200 days to go.
In a statement posted to social media on Wednesday (September 17th), organisers addressed the status of its 2026 lineup.
“We know you’re eager to see who’s going to be performing at the festival next Easter. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to secure a lineup worthy of our next chapter, and we thank you for your patience,” the statement reads.
“Rest assured, we have over 20 great artists confirmed already and we’re now just putting the cherry on top.
“Why has it taken a little longer this year? Because we don’t want to rush it. This lineup had to be right, and you’ll see why. We are bringing the world to Byron, sometimes that means waiting on international agreements, but we promise the wait will pay off.
“Bear with us while we put the finishing touches on this lineup, it will be worth the wait!”
It comes after Bluesfest reported that it attracted 109,000 punters at this year’s event, its third-highest attendance ever, with performances from heavyweights like Tom Morello, Toto, Chaka Khan, Crowded House, Vance Joy and Hilltop Hoods.

“Bluesfest is an institution,” director Peter Noble told The Music Network when asked if the show would go on into the late 2020s and beyond.
“I don’t know yet, and I’m not getting any younger. Certain things are going to have to happen now for it to move into the next decade. And once all those things are put in place, I don’t see any reason why it won’t.”
In that same interview, Noble said at the time that no acts had yet been locked in: “I’ll be working my butt off making it.”
Bluesfest 2026 is set to go ahead from April 2nd-5th. Early bird tickets are on sale now.
