For the fourth year straight, good ol’ Boogie 7 has reached it critical mass at the box office and sold out just ahead of this weekend’s extravaganza at Tallarook.
With the initial lineup announced last November, and another lineup announcement made last month, festival goers both new and old are gearing up for the weekend festival.
A host of fine talent will be there including internationals Endless Boogie, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, Tony Joe White and Tav Falco Panther Burns and local superstars from the Henry Wagons big band event, Hillbilly Killers, Velociraptor and so much more, Boogie 7 will indeed be another very special trip for all concerned.
As most know we offer free train travel from Melbourne as part of the ticket price. V/Line have decided Easter weekend to be a good weekend for track work on the Seymour line, so sadly no toot toots will be running.
A series of busses from Southern Cross station have been arranged to compensate, and busses back to Melbourne on Easter Monday. Check the Boogie website for full details.
Sadly, due to some family illness, young UK songbird Bnjamin Francis-Leftwhich has cancelled his Australian tour and will no longer be playing up at Tallarook. Organisers have wished him well.
But wait, here comes Boxwars! A fixture on the Boogie dance card since Boogie 2, these masters of the board will dazzle young and old once again with their traditional Saturday afternoon battle. These champions have spent many months agonising with blades, tape guns and the finest cardboard recyclable shaping their cardboard vision for the Tallarook lawns. Never an event to be missed.
