Everyone knows 7 is a lucky number, and with 7 weeks until Boogie 7, there’s another reason to test your chances with the addition of ten new acts to the lineup for the hidden gem of the music festival calendar.

With the initial lineup announced last November, tickets are selling steadily while the grass at Bruzzy’s gets ever greener for the excellent times that are very nearly upon us, and now there’s ten more reasons to get excited for Boogie’s one and only stage.

Playing two sets cause they can, please welcome from the bars of New York City ENDLESS BOOGIE.They slayed ’em at Golden Plains and The Tote, and this time it Tallarook’s turn. Right on time for the landing of their new long player Long Island, and with a combined age of 169, Endless Boogie’s meltdown of metal, psychedelic and classic rock with a heavy dose of riffage, a kick-ass beat and super-cryptic lyrics is both thunderous andmellow all at once. Very Boogie.

Next, Memphis cultural icon and rock and roll survivor, TAV FALCO & THE PANTHER BURNS isheading up the Hume. The historic leader of the Memphis swamp, blues and psychobilly scene, Tav Falco will bring his historico-musico show with The Panther Burns and bring it large. It has been a long, long while since these guys treaded the boards down here, but when they step on that Memphis’ post-modern, post-Sun, post-Stax accelerator, Boogie will be in a freak out. Get ready.

MONEY FOR ROPE.Shit yeah. The jaw-dropping energy of two drumkits, two guitars, a bass, four voices and keys bring their crazed rock’n’soul surf garage party every time they smack a stage. Get loose.

From the Catskill Mountains in Upstate New York we bring you SIMONE FELICE. Poet, author and definitely musician, Simone and friends will bring you a free spirit, soulful sound to soothe your Boogie mind. Join the circle, take a breath and prepare for lift off and enlightened times.

For their first ever Melbourne performance please welcome WANG.Who are Wang? Wang are familiar faces. You know The Mess Hall, you know that great bass player from Wolfmother Mark 1? That’s Wang. Jed Kurzel, Cec Condon, and Chris Ross. A straight ahead 3 piece sonic good time rock machine. New sounds at Tallarook for you all to hear first.

Representing the tradition of Oz Rock and party times aplenty, is none other Mr PHIL JAMIESON. He of the band Grinspoon, revealing Denton interviews, classic songs, kooky covers, stories, smiles and shout outs. Just when you think you have seen and heard it all at Boogie, along comes Philip. He will entertain, you can be very sure of that.

Direct from the love hotels of Japan, look out! It’s the GO DEVILS. Three fine ladies busting out the finest of mid 60s garage rock, these ladies will rip up the Tallarook night, breaking hearts all day long. Their raucous sound will travel well over the hills and back again to the dirt dance floor.

Melbourne’s LOWTIDE are going to get your day swayin’ and gazin’ as they straddle the sonic layers their magic pedals and amps can bring. It will be a golden time in the Mitchell Shire for sure as they belt it out on the Boogie stage.

Wake up Sunday to the magical tones of HARMONY at Boogie to a sound they describe as “a mongrel concoction of gallows blues and balladry, but offset by a glorious three part gospel vocal ensemble, that lifts the songs out of the dark and into thrilling, yet haunting territory.” Bring it on.

And finally, it’s the dirty, naughty, rock and roll yobbos from Cairns via Melbourne, DRUNK MUMS. These five bad boys will be on a rampage at Boogie, staking their territory and rocking you all over the place. Get in shape and be ready.

There’s a few more surprises for the Boogie lineup yet, as well as the additions of some fine DJs, so make sure you get your tickets to head to Bruzzy’s Farm. It will not suck.
