Last week we introduced you to Sydney band Bootleg Rascal and their latest double A-side release ‘Yin & Yang’.

Now, a quick look on Facebook has led us to an extremely public, and equally extremely hilarious feud with their manager Rob Carroll.

Carroll, who directs PR and management organisation Good Intent, emailed Bootleg Rascal, angry about over-spending. Using the band bank account, the band apparently spent all their money on booze-fuelled nights out.

Here’s what Carroll’s angry email says:

Hey Carlos and Jimmy,

We’ve talked about this multiple times and it’s starting to wear thin for Rick and myself.

Please stop spending money on stupid shit with the band card.

I logged into the account this morning and there was $476.35 spent across 11 transactions at Chinchilla RSL and two ATM withdrawals of $300 and $50 from yesterday alone.

You’re supposed to be shooting up these clips, not belting piss and pumping pineapples into the brickie’s laptop.

We have a lot of expenses coming up and as you know, we’re already running tight on the budget I’ve put together.

Pull it together!

Talk to you soon about tour logistics.

Regards,

Rob Carroll

Yes, Rob, we hear you. Got me right in the feels, there.

The band then decided they’d take this beef publicly, and what better platform to use than Facebook?

“As you can see our manager isn’t very happy with us atm, as we’ve been having a few little parties this week. Buy a ticket to our upcoming shows so we can afford to buy our plane tickets for the tour. Links in comments. Love Booty x,” their social media post reads.

Bootleg Rascal Rob Carroll roasting them:

Then, the beef really ramped up, when Carroll decided he’d comment on the post. “Take this post down now and start answering your phones. This is really immature guys”.

Bootleg Rascal then responded, “ease up champ. You know we’re good for it,” to which Carroll replied “It’s really hard working with you blokes sometimes – you think everything is a joke. I’m ringing the bank and cancelling the debit cards now.”

When we reached out to Rob Carroll for comment, he claimed he’s waiting on a phone call from them. “I’ve only been managing them for the last few months and every day there’s something f***ing ridiculous I have to deal with because of their immature antics. I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m not managing them by the end of the day. Pick up your phones Carlos and Jimmy!”

Well, let’s hope this isn’t the end of Bootleg Rascal as we know it!

If all goes to plan [we hope so], the band will start a tour this August to support Yin & Yang. For further info on that tour see below.
