Bring Me the Horizon headlined Reading Festival 2025 on Sunday, delivering a high-energy set that included a show of support for Palestine.
During the closing number, “Throne”, the band waved Palestine flags from the stage, marking one of the key political moments of the evening, according an NME review.
The performance opened with a pre-recorded digital avatar, Eve, introducing the show with dramatic visuals and video game-inspired graphics. Frontman Oli Sykes led the audience through the set, which included tracks such as “Darkside”, “Mantra”, “Happy Song”, “I Will Follow You”, “Kingslayer”, and “Can You Feel My Heart”.
Sykes engaged the crowd between songs, encouraging participation and mosh pits, and brought a fan on stage for a performance of “Antivist”. The band also performed a cover of Oasis’ “Wonderwall”.
The show featured extensive visual effects, pyrotechnics, and on-stage theatrics, including a moment where Sykes appeared as a demon in real-time. The band also took selfies with the audience during “Drown”.

Reflecting on the set, Sykes referenced their first Reading appearance in 2008, saying it was “fucking overwhelming” to return after more than a decade. The band’s performance combined music, visuals, and stagecraft, highlighting their continued popularity and large-scale festival presence.

Elsewhere at Reading Festival 2025, Amyl and the Sniffers spoke up about Palestine and criticised J.K. Rowling and Donald Trump during their set.
She said: “I want to say fuck J.K. Rowling, and I want to say my heart is with the people in Palestine. It takes nothing to think about that kind of thing and talk about that kind of thing, and any kind of action is some kind of action. What else can I say? I guess fuck Trump! That’s it, and I’ll leave it at that.”
Australian actress Rebel Wilson also made a surprise appearance at the big UK festival. During their performance at Reading Festival on Friday, UK indie rockers The Kooks brought out Wilson on stage to perform ’90s classic, Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise”.
