The Bangtan Boys are coming back to us in acoustic glory! BTS are going to perform a special set on MTV Unplugged on February 23rd.

Well, we know by now that toning it down is not really BTS’ style. Um, hello? Does no remember BTS’ fantastic online concert? With Jimin’s iconic red suit? Yeah, thought so.

Well, it seems like the septet are making an exception.

BTS will perform a special set of their biggest hits on MTV Unplugged later in February. The septet will take to the iconic stage with some of their biggest hits. While the setlist is not out, fans can expect songs from their latest album BE: Deluxe Edition, including ‘Dynamite’ and ‘Life Goes On’. The set was reportedly filmed in Seoul, South Korea in intimate settings.

While BTS join a long line of iconic performances for the series, the septet has already set high expectations for the performance. It’s all thanks to their history of taking their live performances a notch higher. Shortly after the release of their album Map of The Soul: 7, the act closed down Grand Central Station to perform the title track ‘ON’.

That was only the beginning. Over the course of 2020, when live music found itself going back to the confines of rooms and studios, BTS got more creative with their venues. For #BTSWeek on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, the septet took over the iconic Gyeongbok Palace in Seoul to perform their hits in traditional Korean clothing.

That’s not to mention the iconic dynamic sets they moved from throughout BTS Week (including a life-sized replica of an amusement park). Or the fact that they booked out Incheon Airport for a performance. King shit, indeed.
