Wind back time to just over twelve months ago and Calling All Cars were celebrating the fact that they’d been hand-picked by AC/DC to support them on their Black Ice tour nationally. The local Melbourne band continue their good fortune with support slots by being announced as the support act for none other than Queens Of The Stone Age.

The boys have been chosen to support them on their only Australian shows outside of Soundwave, in Sydney on Wednesday 2 March at The Enmore Theatre and Melbourne on Thursday 3 March at The Palace.

Calling All Cars are currently writing material for the follow up to their critically acclaimed 2010 debut album Hold, Hold, Fire, and the QOTSA sideshows will give fans their first chance to hear some of the new songs before
the band disappear into the studio with Shihad’s Tom Larkin once again taking charge from the producers chair.
