Camera footage has captured the moment Chance The Rapper’s bodyguard unleashed a fiery body slam, with the guy on the receiving end now initiating legal action.
American hip-hop artist Chance the Rapper, whose next album is due in July employs Star Thomas to protect his person when he’s out and about. In a totally separate incident, Thomas allegedly assaulted a hotel patron.
Travis Montgomery is now suing the famed rapper’s bodyguard, claiming Star Thomas assaulted him in August 2017 after a verbal ‘exchange’ inside Chicago’s W Hotel. According to the civil suit, the incident was more violent due to Thomas’ size. Thomas is allegedly “Six foot four… and about 300 pounds.”
In documentation obtained by TMZ, Montgomery claims Thomas blocked him from entering a lift earlier in the day, because Chance The Rapper, real name Chancelor Jonathan Bennett was inside. Montgomery claims to have ran into Bennett’s entourage later that day, when the two groups butted heads.
Montgomery alleges that Thomas grabbed him by the neck, violently pushed him into a wall, and choked him.
